Grievance Redressal

Your right to be heard. This page explains how to raise a grievance, exercise your data rights, and escalate if you are not satisfied with our response.

1. Overview

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), Section 13, every Data Principal (user) has the Right to Grievance Redressal. The Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 ("DPDP Rules") require us to publish the details of our grievance mechanism, including the name and contact information of a designated Grievance Officer, the means by which you can exercise your rights, and the response period.

Additionally, Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 requires us to appoint a Grievance Officer and publish their contact details for users to raise complaints about content or platform-related issues.

This page fulfils both obligations.

3. What You Can Raise

You may contact the Grievance Officer for any of the following:

  • Data Processing Concerns: Questions about how we collect, use, store, or erase your personal data.
  • Exercising DPDP Rights: Requests to access, correct, or erase your data; withdraw consent; or nominate someone to exercise your rights (see Section 5 below).
  • Content Complaints: Complaints about content or conduct on the platform that violates our Community Guidelines or the IT Rules.
  • Account Issues: Wrongful suspension, termination, or inability to access your account.
  • Privacy Concerns: Any concern about a possible breach of your privacy or personal data.
  • General Feedback: Any other concern about your experience with MyOnne.

4. How to File a Grievance

You can file a grievance through any of the following channels:

Option 1: Email

Send an email to dpo@myonne.com with:

  • Your registered User ID (visible in Settings → Account)
  • A clear description of your concern or complaint
  • The specific right you wish to exercise (if applicable)
  • Any supporting evidence (screenshots, dates, etc.)

Option 2: In-App

Open MyOnne → Settings → Help & Support → File a Grievance. Fill in the form and submit. You will receive a confirmation with a reference number.

Option 3: Postal Mail

Write to: Grievance Officer, MyOnne Amora Private Limited, 8, Sri Ramulavari Street, kandadu, Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, 517619. Please include your User ID and a return address.

5. How to Exercise Your DPDP Rights

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the following rights as a Data Principal. Here is exactly how to exercise each one:

For all requests submitted by email, we will verify your identity by matching the email to your registered account and may ask for additional verification. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Response Timeline

We are committed to resolving your concerns promptly:

  • Acknowledgement: Within 48 hours of receiving your grievance, we will send an acknowledgement with a reference number.
  • Resolution: We will investigate and provide a substantive response or resolution within 30 days of receipt, as required by the DPDP Rules, 2025.
  • Content-related complaints (IT Rules): For complaints about content that violates the IT Rules, we will acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days, as required by Rule 3(2) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021.
  • CSAM reports: Immediate action: no waiting period.

7. Escalation to Data Protection Board of India

If you are not satisfied with our response to your grievance, or if we fail to respond within 30 days, you have the right under Section 13 of the DPDP Act to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

The Data Protection Board is an independent body established under the DPDP Act to adjudicate complaints from Data Principals. You may approach the Board directly if:

  • Your grievance has not been resolved within 30 days.
  • You are dissatisfied with the resolution provided by our Grievance Officer.
  • You believe we have violated the DPDP Act in processing your data.

Details about how to approach the Data Protection Board will be published on the Board's official website once it is constituted and operational. We will update this section with a direct link as soon as it becomes available.

8. IT Rules Grievance Mechanism

In addition to the DPDP grievance mechanism, the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021 require us to provide a separate mechanism for complaints about content on the platform. The same Grievance Officer handles both DPDP and IT Rules complaints:

  • Scope: Complaints about content that violates our Community Guidelines, including prohibited content as specified under Rule 3(1)(b).
  • Timeline: Acknowledgement within 24 hours, resolution within 15 days.
  • Channel: Same as above: email dpo@myonne.com or use the in-app reporting mechanism.

9. Transparency & Reporting

We are committed to transparency. We will publish periodic compliance reports that include:

  • The number of grievances received and resolved.
  • The number of content takedown requests received and actioned.
  • The number of law enforcement requests received and complied with.
  • Average resolution time.
