To restore, load the file on your new phone and enter your 64-character Recovery Key. That's the only thing that can open it.
If you lose the Recovery Key, the file is permanently locked. That's by design. If we could unlock it, so could someone else.

Your app PIN protects your partner connection. If you switch phones, entering your PIN on a new device restores your relationship - your partner is notified and you're reconnected instantly. No re-adding, no QR codes.
Two steps: First, install MyOnne on your new phone and enter your PIN - your partner will receive a request to accept your new device. Once they approve, you're reconnected. Second, if you want your full message history back, load your backup file and enter your Recovery Key.
Your backup file becomes permanently locked. We can't recover it for you - that's intentional. If we could unlock it, so could someone else. Your PIN still works to reconnect with your partner, but your message history would be gone.
No. MyOnne never even has your backup file - you keep it yourself. And even if someone got hold of the file, only your 64-character Recovery Key can unlock it. We designed it so that nobody but you can access your private history.
